"Tokyo Ghoul" season Three is probably one of the most anticipated dark anime shows. There have been rumors that the third season may be shown in the winter of 2016.

"Tokyo Ghoul 3" Release Date and Details

There is actually no concrete evidence that season three of "Tokyo Ghoul" is going to be release soon. There is even no indication that production for the upcoming show has even started. Pierrot Studio, the studio that originally created the "Tokyo Ghoul" anime version was reportedly taken over by Madhouse Productions, according to christiantimes. Unfortunately this news does not offer any promise about a possible return of the "Tokyo Ghoul" series.

"Tokyo Ghoul 3" Possible Plots and Characters

"Tokyo Ghoul" fans are speculating that the upcoming anime show may share similarities with the manga version. The possible story line may involve Kaneki who is suffering from amnesia. He then becomes Haise Sasaki, head of the "Quinx Squad". This particular unit is under the CCG and composed of half ghouls like Kaneki/Haise. This situation is only temporary and hero will recover his from his amnesia, eventually.

There are also speculations that any upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul" season will be bloodier and darker than the first two seasons. Madhouse Entertainment has a reputation of releasing anime shows that have darker and violent themes. If Madhouse is indeed taking over the production of "Tokyo Ghoul", a darker theme for the show will be expected.

Another speculated story line involves Kaneki becoming the "One Eyed King" of the ghouls, according to ecumenicalnews. He attains the position due to Arima's self-sacrifice to enable the hero to take the throne.

All of these possible story lines have not been confirmed by the two studios. There is an even chance that some of these rumors are true or simply false. What cannot be denied however, are the eagerness and belief of the fans that a "Tokyo Ghoul 3" will come out soon.
