'Speechless' Season 1 Latest Spoilers, News & Update: Maya Learns About Architecture? What We Know So Far!

Minnie Driver is Maya DiMeo in the television comedy series "Speechless" Season 1. In the latest episode of the show, it seems that Maya has a new lesson that she learned and it is on a different subject.

According to US Magazine, Maya is stuck in the bathroom because of its narrow door in "Speechless" Season 1. She realizes this right after she assists her son J.J. (Micah Fowler) who wants to pee. J.J. has cerebral palsy and needs assistance in anything especially in going to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom is also Maya's husband Jimmy (John Ross Bowie).

It can be recalled that the previous episode of "Speechless" Season 1 was all about J.J.'s invitation for the annual bonfire. The invitation was done by the school and this made Maya decline since there is not much access to a wheelchair which J.J. needs because of his condition.

Meanwhile, Minnie Driver's character in "Speechless" Season 1 is of a mother who is willing to do it all for her family. Driver shares that she loves the role as Maya since the show has a special message for fans according to ABC News.

In an interview, Driver explains that viewers can see the show on a different level. She added that people with disabilities can be looked into differently. This is what Speechless Season 1 is all about. She plays a mother of an eldest son with cerebral palsy and tries hard to get along with life.

"Speechless" Season 1 also shows on how Maya makes it normal for her son within their family. The show also is designed to make people laugh. There are challenges along the way for the family but then the show tells about how life can be handled in a lighter way whatever the situation.
