After the recent launch of Google Pixel, the battle for the top Android phone has heated up. Fans are keenly waiting to see how key rival One Plus will respond to the challenge.

One Plus 3 was a critically well-received phone with several praising its performance and its specs. There has been a lot of recent discussion on what its next phone One Plus 4 will offer and how it will match up to Google's new range of phones.

A report in YIBDA is hinting that OnePlus may perhaps launch a new phone One Plus 3 Plus that will go up against Google Pixel as One Plus 4 is likely to take time to hit the markets.  This will be an enhanced version of One Plus 3 which will take on not only Google Pixel but also Apple's iPhone 7.

With respect to One Plus 4, the rumor mill is suggesting that the smartphone is expected to be the most powerful of Android phones to be released in 2017. While there has been no official information shared about the phone or its release date, rumored specs for the much-awaited OnePlus 4 have hinted that it will be a flagship killer.

According to  ScienceWorldReport, the phone will come with an aluminum curved body, which will bring the phone's traditional polished look.  The display screen will be a 5.5 inch OLED with a 4K resolution and have the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Boasting of powerful processing, the phone will come with Snapdragon 830 processor which is a part of Qualcomm's next-generation range of high-end processors. An iTech report has said that the phone will offer great performance thanks to a massive 8GB RAM and will have the latest Android OS 7.0 Nougat. There are reports that the One Plus team is tweaking the Android experience and customizing the interface to improve user expense.

As far as camera specs go, the One Plus 4 will have a stunning 21 MP or 23 MP main camera incorporating Sony sensor integration and an 8MP front camera.  A whopping 256GB external storage, a 4,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner are other highlights expected to be found in the latest phone from the One Plus stable.

The pricing for the phone will be attractive as usual - OnePlus 3 was launched at US$399, and it is expected that its successor will be in the range of $400-$500, just about half of an iPhone 7!
