It is announced that the Xbox game series "Gears of War" will be made in silver screen, owing to the success of the game. "We made a partnership with Universal Studios and get a 'Gears of War' movie," said the franchise development director Rod Fergusson in a recent interview. It is interesting to see how they are casting beefcake Gears for the movie; do they cast the WWF stars to make it more realistic?

Although the movie adaptation of the game was announced in 2007 with Len Wiseman as the director, it did not become reality and finally gave up the project. Further details about the movie such as production time line, plot, release date, cast etc., are not announced yet. Instead of selecting the plot or characters from one of the "Gears of War" game, the makers will get the concepts and characters of the games to create something new, reported by Business Insider.

Dylan Clark is announced to be the producer of the "Gears of War" movie. "The concept of the movie is still being defined," he said. "We are in the initial days of exploration, but this launch is very exciting." Further, the latest entrant of the game series "Gears of War 4" is scheduled to release on Oct. 11, cited iDigital Times. The plot of the game is announced to have set 25 years after "Gears of War 3" and centered on JD Fenix, the son of Marcus.

Though the producers of most of the popular games later come up with an announcement of big screen adaptation, many of those films usually dropped out in the development stage. Also most of the film adaptations of popular games in the past, could not repeat the success of the games. "Gears of War" is a highly popular game and the fans can expect that the producers of the movie won't let their hopes down.
