Picking up after Claire (Caitriona Balfe) travels back to 1948, Season 3 of "Outlander" series will focus her attempts to reconnect with modern society and her original husband Frank (Tobias Menzies), as well as the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden during the18th century, as Jamie (Sam Heughan) also attempts to deal with everything that has happened. One thing's for certain, nothing will be easy for either of them.

The Stopru reports that, Jamie and Claire who were separated by almost 200 years of time, have decided to never seeing each other again, which will be affecting the rest of their lives. In an attempt to distract herself, Claire focuses on raising their daughter, while Jamie is forced to move on. Neither of them can forget each other. Season 3 of "Outlander" will explore whether the passage of time has diminished their feelings for each other and whether they will rekindle their romance upon reuniting.

Season 3 of "Outlander" explores different locations and exciting places. As mentioned by Sam Heughan in the same report, "This season, we cover 20 years of their life and we move a lot. We're in Scotland, Jamaica and England before finishing the journey in North Carolina. So this is a great adventure." Expect some surprises!

In addition to this, the 36-year-old actor indicates that we may see more of Jamie as a person as he struggles to live without Claire in his life, according to an interview he did with Variety in July. "We won't actually see what happens to Jamie after she's gone through the stones until the next season - for me that's a really big question and something that will be really interesting to look at: who is Jamie without Claire, why is he still surviving or what has he got to live for when he's lost the woman that he loves?"

On a lighter note, acoording to International Business Times, Heughan recently revealed to People Magazine one important part to playing the character Jamie, his hair. As he points out, "Caitriona Balfe, and my hair, are very much parts of the show. It's all about the big hair anyways. Claire's hair is very unkempt. Same with Jamie. His hair is very much a part of who he is - the color and the look to him." Heughan also points out that though he is blonde, he actually doesn't care about dyeing his hair for "Outlander." As he puts it, "It's been an honor playing this character for over three years now. It feels like a part of me," he also added that, "It'll be a sad day when I'll have to lose it the hair."

The first episodes of "Outlander" Season 3 air some time early 2017.
