It seems John Wick is still out for some action. Heading to Rome for some unfinished business, Keanu Reaves reprises his role as the eponymous retired assassin in John Wick: Chapter 2. The trailer was teased prior by Lionsgate. A mere 17-second clip, it was probably to give fans something to look forward to as they unveil the sequel to the 2014 action movie.

While some have said Reaves delivered a couple of lines drily, the action sequences in the trailer promote a different story. Hopefully, the sequel will bring as much oomph as its predecessor did, a surprise hit which put Reaves back in the spotlight for a little while.

According to NME, the plot of Chapter 2 has to do with Wick coming out of retirement yet again to help someone he's bound to by blood oath.Fighting some of the world's most dangerous assassins in the way, Wick heads to Rome to help someone take control of an international assassin's guild.

Some of the cast may yet be familiar from other media. Suicide Squad's Common plays the main antagonist, while another notable star includes Orange Is The New Black's Ruby Rose in the action. Reaves will also reunite with his co-actor in The Matrix Trilogy, Laurence Fishburne.

From the prior film, Ian McShane and John Leguizamo take up their previous roles once more for the sequel.

Expectations are arguably high as the first film earned almost four times its initial $20 million budget, grossing $78 million at the global box office. Behind the scenes, Chad Stahelski directs the sequel, while the writer of the first movie, Derek Kolstad, also writes the screenplay for the coming sequel.

John Wick: Chapter 2 is expected for release in February, 2017.
