After months of unloading teaser posters, vague stills, and set images, Lionsgate finally unveiled the first, official trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation of Saban Entertainment's well-loved franchise, "Power Rangers."

Shown prior to the film's panel at New York Comic-Con, the trailer depicts the five teenagers who will be donning the metallic colored ranger suits as ordinary high-schoolers with social issues. However, a great discovery and a looming threat will bond them together to unite and use their newfound powers to fight this new evil.

While no traces of Zordon and the Zords were shown, the last shot of the trailer saw Jason slowly morphing into his red suit.

In addition, the film's helmer Dean Israelite has confirmed that Rita Repulsa's right hand Goldar will be added in the film albeit no voice actor has been announced yet. However, the director has revealed that Goldar will be teased soon in a future promo for the film.

Based on the hit franchise of the same name, each "Power Rangers" show follows a set of five (or three, in some incarnations) teenagers who possess fighting abilities, as well as the capacity to morph into armored individuals who fight monstrous invaders. As of writing, the franchise has spawned 23 television seasons, 19 different themed series, and three films - including the reboot.

The main cast consists of Dacre Montgomery as Jason, the Red Ranger; Naomi Scott as Kimberly, the Pink Ranger; Ludi Lin as Zack, the Black Ranger; Becky G as Trini, the Yellow Ranger; RJ Cyler as Billy, the Blue Ranger; Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, Bryan Cranston as Zordon; and Bill Hader as Alpha 5.

"Power Rangers" hits theaters, March 24, 2017
