Overwatch Halloween Loot Leak On Xbox Store
Overwatch fans caught glimpse of the Sombra skull during an Xbox Store preview of the Overwatch Halloween Loot Box promo. An image and video clip of the Sombra leak was posted in Reddit. Viewers will notice that the Sombra skull icon is figured prominently in a purple colored candy.
This is taken as proof that Overwatch game developer Blizzard is planning to release Sombra this October. Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan officially confirmed future release of two more heroes and new maps to the game. The game master explicitly said that one of the heroes is coming real soon. He did not mentioned the name but every Overwatch fans know that it's Sombra.
Sombra Website Counter Confirmation?
The amomentincrime.com Sombra counter is currently over 82 percent as of press time. It is believed that the counter will reach 100 percent either on October 16 or 17. Sombra fans are speculating that the upcoming character is going to appear this month and possibly during the Halloween season.
This Sombra theory will run counter to another rumor where the 23rd character will be revealed in the 2016 Blizzcon event on November. Many Overwatch fans however, would prefer it to happen sooner rather than later.
"Overwatch Halloween Terror!" Event
The Xbox Store announced the coming of Halloween loot boxes for Overwatch fans. The loot will contain various Halloween related items such as new highlight intros, new emotes, player icons, sprays, skins and victory poses as well as voice lines, according to pvplive.
Overwatch players could get the Halloween loot boxes by leveling up. The leaked Xbox Store video however, seems to indicate that some microtransactions may be involved. Neither Blizzard nor the Xbox Store set an official release date for the Overwatch Halloween Boxes
