The Cleveland Cavaliers are still incomplete as they continue to pursue J.R. Smith to re-sign with them. Still, J.R. Smith and the Cavaliers are not settled until today, an NBA rumor came up with a suggestion to take either Ray Allen or Jimmer Fredette.

The Sportsrageous reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers might end up signing Ray Allen if J.R. Smith insisted to stand on his asking amount of dollars. Ray Allen is very close to LeBron James as they fought and eventually won a title together back with the Miami Heat.

Reports show, that it's obvious Ray Allen's contribution is his killer outside shooting. With LeBron James on the court, Ray Allen would just not run around the court, find himself an opening, and bang! log the 3. Ray Allen might be in his 40's as of today, but as Coach Doc Rivers said, Ray Allen has a body of 20-year old player with shooting touch of primed Ray Allen.

Another option for the Cleveland Cavaliers is Jimmer Fredette as per Chat Sports report. Fredette eventually haven't unleashed his true talents, but while in the Chinese League, Jimmer Fredette is a true spark.

Jimmer Fredette was sent to the NBA D-League last season, playing in 40 games with 39 starts with the Westchester Knicks. Fredette had an amazing performance finishing 21.1 points, 5 assists and 1.8 steals per contest.

Jimmer Fredette is a primary point guard, but is very capable to play 2 guard position. Fredette might not produce well during his stint in the NBA, but he can actually contribute if given enough time with enough role. Shooting off the dribble, long bombs and finishing in traffic with a dozen midair moves are just a few skills that Jimmer Fredette possessed.

If the Cleveland Cavaliers couldn't sign J.R. Smith back if anything comes to worse, the Cavs Nation is sure to love cheering for Ray Allen or Jimmer Fredette. The Cavaliers are still the fan favorite to win their back-to-back title this NBA season.
