New reports indicate that there is possibility that the earth will experience Ice Age as NASA revealed that the sun went blank again for the fourth time this year.

With the complete inaction in the solar surface, this will lead to Ice Age. The image revealed by NASA shows that the sun is completely free of the usual sunspots. It is even at its lowest rate for 10,000 years and solar activity has slowed down. Meanwhile, the sun spot activity had been swinging back and forth for the period of 11 or 12 years.

Meteorologists warned about what may possibly happen. According to reports, the condition during the Maunder Minimum which started in 1645 until 1715 may be repeated. During those times, the inactivity of the sun caused a phenomenon called the Little Ice Age, Daily Star reported.

"The blank sun is a sign that the next solar minimum is approaching and there will be an increasing number of spotless days over the next few years," said renowned sun-watcher Paul Dorian.

"At first, the blankness will stretch for just a few days at a time, then it'll continue for weeks at a time, and finally it should last for months at a time when the sunspot cycle reaches its nadir. The next solar minimum phase is expected to take place around 2019 or 2020," he added in a report on Venco Weather.

Because of the low sunspot numbers, forecasters reveal that by 2019-2020, the sun's pendulum in terms of sun spot activity will hit rock bottom. It is expected by weathermen that there will be more spotless suns in the future.

To recall, it was predicted by Professor Valentina Zharkov that the activity of the sun will reduce to 60% by 2030s which will result into a mini Ice Age.

Do you think the Earth will indeed experience Ice Age? Will this lead to the End of the World?
