"Narcos" Season 3 will have Cali Cartel on the spotlight. This time Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) is replaced by Gilberto Orijuela (Damian Alcazar). The Los Pepes are speculated to return.

In a report from iTechPost, Cali Cartel will reign in "Narcos" Season 3. The group's involvement in the system makes it hard for the authorities because their transactions seem to appear legitimate. It seems that Cali Cartel will showcase what they have got in the upcoming season.

Showrunner Eric Newman shares in the same report the difference between Pablo Escobar and the Cali Cartel for "Narcos" Season 3. He explains that Pablo Escobar is protected by the people who care and love him. The Cali Cartel is protected by a political and economic system. These systems are built by the Cali Cartel itself.

The Cali Cartel operates differently. They have lawyers and businessmen and other professionals as members and they have a system that is similar to the terrorists. "Narcos" Season 3 is expected to site stories on how the Cali Cartel became a dangerous group.

Meanwhile, Los Pepes is speculated to return in "Narcos" Season 3. It can be remembered that the Cali Cartel used the Los Pepes in their operations. This led to Pablo Escobar's demise. After the death of Pablo Escobar, the Los Pepes are supposed to cease their operations from finding the kingpin. However, they have been restored by the Columbian government.

According to Ecumenical News, the show might have lost Escobar but it does not mean that the series is over. "Narcos" Season 3 is hinted to be about the Cali Cartel. Now that Pablo Escobar is dead there is another big drug syndicate that will continue to rule the Narco business.

Now that Escobar is dead, DEA Agent Pena (Pedro Pascal) returns to the United States. He is invited back for a new operation. It seems that fans of the series may see Agent Pena again in "Narcos" Season 3. However, there is n confirmation on getting back Agent Pena to the series since the show is based on real-life events.
