Prepare to form Voltron once again, as Netflix finally unveils the debut trailer for the much-awaited second season of "Voltron: Legendary Defender." However, from the looks of it, the team is seemingly reeling from last season's closing moments.

Picking up right after Season 1, the trailer depicts the team being scattered upon different parts of the galaxy, with Shiro apparently missing in action. A slew of clips were then shown, highlighting escalated space skirmishes, new villains, and a looming cosmic threat from the distance.

Furthermore, it would seem like Keith will finally take the leadership role, as the trailer implied Shiro fading away into some sort of white light. This might echo the classic series' events, as well as those of its source material, GoLion, as Sven/Shirogane met his demise during his tenure as the Voltron Force leader.

No release date has been announced yet for Season 2, but it was touted that it will be slated for a premiere this year. However, a special sneak peek will be screened on New York Comic Con this Friday, with voice actors Jeremy Shada and Bex Taylor-Klaus, and the show's executive producers Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery figuring in a panel for the show.

"Voltron: Legendary Defender" Season 1 is now available for streaming on Netflix.
