CBS' "The Odd Couple" Season 3 has surprised network executives as it has remained parallel to Criminal Minds in terms of viewership rating, a report by TV By The Number confirms. The comedy series is set to launch its third season in two weeks after it received the network's approval last May 16 this year.

On the scoop released by Broadway World, it was revealed that the boyband Boyz II Men will guest as themselves in "The Odd Couple" Season 3. The comedy series features stars Matthew Perry (who portrays Oscar Madison) and Thomas Lennon (who plays as Felix Unger).

In the series, the characters Oscar and Felix are two former college friends who eventually became roommates following the failure of their marriages. In the first two seasons, both Oscar and Felix tried their best to adjust in their new living environment while they were also trying to move on from their past loves. In "The Odd Couple" Season 3, Oscar will face a new challenge as he found himself being torn between pushing his romantic plans with Charlotte (Teri Hatcher) and having to lend a hand to Felix who is trying his best to save his relationship with newfound love Emily.

Stuff quotes actor Lennon on how he still feels like acting in theatre. Nevertheless, the sitcom is patterned as a remake of Neil Simon's play of the same name in year 1965.  Both actors Perry and Lennon are surprised that viewers are hooked with their characters' mismatched personalities.

On "The Odd Couple" May 12 episode, it was recorded that the sitcom has maintained a 7.43 Million viewership. This is the reason why the show has earned CBS Network executives' nods. "The Odd Couple" Season 3 is slated to return on CBS on October 17 this year at 9:30-10:30 PM, ET/PT. The season's premiere episode is said to be tagged as "London Calling".
