Just recently, Niantic posted a new update for the mobile hit game "Pokemon GO," and unlike the previous updates released for the app, the tweaks were aimed on Pokemon Gym Battles, and how they are being carried out.

It is no secret that one of the biggest complaints when engaging in gym battles would be the delay in some of the Pokemon moves, particularly the ones that require meter charging. In that light, the devs will be introducing the idea of "buffering."

With this new mechanic, players can now moderate and execute moves after rendering a certain action by buffering an attack. One good example would be a Charmeleon executing Flame Thrower after dodging a Hyper Beam attack. Moreso, this new update will give more importance with dodging timely. In hindsight, this would mirror the manner trainer battles are done in core handheld games of the franchise, making the fights more strategic.

However, now that buffering has been introduced, this will leave less space for button mashing and quick battles. With buffered moves, an opposing player will be unable to dodge right away by pushing buttons repetitively.

In addition, "Pokemon GO's" latest update will allow players to view the capture location of their Pokemon in the Information Screen. All the pertinent information will be posted, including the date, time and area a certain Pokemon has been caught. Furthermore, trainers can now use Incense with the aid of their Pokemon GO Plus accessories.

To recall, Niantic CEO John Hanke had revealed weeks ago that the company is set to unveil more updates soon, as he teased the idea of trading, trainer battles, and expanding the Pokemon roster of the app.
