"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 happens to be the final season of the series. The titles of the episodes are now being revealed. It is speculated that Nina Dobrev is returning in the series finale.

According to Inquisitr, "The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 1 is titled 'Hello Brother.' Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has made this greeting in the episode towards his brother Stefan (Paul Wesley). The second episode is titled 'Today Will Be Different.' This came from the diary of Elena Gilbert's (Nina Dobrev) diary after her parents died.

The title for the second episode has raised speculations that Nina Dobrev is coming back to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Nina will have more chances in sharing the screen with co-star Paul Wesley than of her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder.

If the speculations are correct then it is expected that Somerhalder will have less appearances in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. However, Wesley has been silent about bringing Dobrev back in to the series.

In a report from GameNGuide, Nikki Reed is rumored to join "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 as a replacement for Dobrev. She is to join Somerhalder and has been rumored asking Julie Plec that she play the role of Katherine Pierce so her fiancé will not reunite with ex-girlfriend Dobrev. Meanwhile, Dobrev and Somerhalder have not commented on this speculations as of yet.

It is also speculated that Somerhalder's career will be at risk after "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 ends. This is the series finale and Somerhalder's career will be in danger once CW Network cancels the show. Dobrev's possible return will make it good for the show since she has been one of the reasons for the show's high ratings.

As of now, no official confirmation is made yet of Dobrev's returns in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Episode 2. The series finale is coming back on October 21, 2016.
