'Outlander' Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: New Characters To Join In The Series: What We Know So Far!

Lord John Grey (David Berry) is already a new character added to "Outlander" Season 3. Aside from Lord John Grey, there are two other new characters to join the show.

According to Blastr, John Bell has been added to cast as the Young Ian. He is Jaime's (Sam Heughan) cousin in the 18th century in "Outlander" Season 3. He is described to be a young lad who has the tendency to get into trouble. He also has a whole lot of charm and is an adventurous boy.

Another new character in "Outlander" Season 3 is Joe Abernathy to be portrayed by Wil Johnson. He is Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) friend from Boston in the 20th-century. Joe is someone that Claire will let into her secret about time travel.

Joe is described to be one of Claire's friends in the medical school. He is intelligent and charming. He is loyal to Claire and has great affection for her. They will have a long lasting friendship in "Outlander" Season 3.

"Outlander" Season 3 will start from where Season 2 left off. Claire is now pregnant and goes back to the present life in 1948. Meanwhile, Jaime is left in the past and struggling with the loss of Claire and the aftermath of the battle.

In a report from Enstarz, the story in Outlander Season 3 is adapted from the book Voyager..Showrunner Ron Moore shares that the third book of Diana Gabaldon is easier to adapt. It is more of a straightforward narrative compared to the second one. Moore added that even the first season of the series was being tweaked.

"Outlander" Season 3 is coming back in 2017. There are new characters to join the show and the time travel drama series continues to unravel Jaime and Claire's relationship. Fans can expect more story of the unique romance.
