Movie-goers seem to reject movies from last weekend. After sequels "Blair Witch" and "Bridget Jones' Baby" hit theaters, both falling flat and only earning under $10 million, "Sully," the drama about the "Miracle in Hudson" snatched the first place.

Variety says that this Clint Eastwood drama about Captain Chesley Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) may go as far as earning $70.5 million. Meanwhile, "The Magnificent Seven" and "Storks" may compete with "Sully" as soon as they hit the box office by Friday.

"The Magnificent Seven" is expected to earn $35 million on its debut. Meanwhile, "Storks" may catch up to "The Magnificent Seven" as it is expected to earn $32 million dollars on its first day. Statistics of pre-release tracking says both "The Magnificent Seven" and "Storks" may put "Sully" on the Third place, with its initial earning of $13 million.

"The Magnificent Seven" is an action-packed movie about seven old West gunmen united to fight savage thieves who are abusing a poor village. According to Collider, the movie features stars Ethan Hawke, Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Lee Byung Hun, Vincent D'Onofrio, Peter Sarsgaard, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Haley Bennett, among others.

While "The Magnificent Seven" focuses to grab older crowds, "Storks", on the other hand, seeks to lure family audiences with its animated nature. The film was produced with a $70 million budget, a relatively low price compared to other Pixar films which frequently releases $150 million-worth movies.

"Storks" is all about a group of birds who were originally appointed to send babies to their homes but are now recommissioned to deliver packages for a company (Amazon-like in present day). The characters are voiced by stars Jordan Peele, Keegan-Michael Key, Andy Samberg, Jennifer Aniston, and Kelsey Grammer, the Bustle reports. It is expected to land theaters in 34 foreign territories (such as India, China and Russia) and in 3,900 domestic locations.  Both "The Magnificent Seven" and "Storks" are set to be in theaters on September 23, Friday.
