It was in June when official reports came out, confirming that the classic movie "Anastasia" will be brought to Broadway. Yesterday, a dreamy promo video of the classical movie turned Broadway Musical was released on Facebook.

The "Anastasia" teaser contains a 25-seconder cut of the song "Journey of the Past" which brought back a lot of childhood memories to 90s kids. The Broadway Musical also released a promo photo in their official Instagram account, where a first look of the outstanding set was also seen.

Christy Altomare, the stage actress who will play the part of "Anastasia", is heard singing the song in the promo video. The Broadway version will also feature John Bolton as Vlad, Caroline O' Connor as Lily, and Derek Klena as Dmitry.

The "Anastasia" classical animated movie produced by Fox Animation Studios was released in year 1997. The story wanted to touch around the mysteries behind the Romanov family which sparked a Russian Revolution in the late 1500s in a positive way.

The Title Character, Anastasia, has a very controversial historical background. She mysteriously died in 1560 which changed his beloved, Ivan IV (tsar), into leading a terror reign in Russia.

The makers of the film presented an alternate life of "Anastasia" in an enchanting journey, from acquiring an amnesia after falling from a moving train. This transpired when Anastasia, along with her parents, tried to escape threats of assassination. Ten years later, Anastasia got reunited with her grandmother.

The Broadway production of "Anastasia" will start showing previews at the Broadhurst Theatre on March 23. It will officially open as a full Broadway Musical stage performance on April 24, 217 on the same theatre.

According to Playbill, tickets of the Anastasia Broadway Musical will be available for the general public on October 7 at 10 A.M through Telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200. The stage production of Anastasia is directed by Darko Tresnjak.
