Nexus 7 2016 Vs Samsung Galaxy Tab S3: Better Specs Evident; Oct. 4 Launch Hints Nexus Line Rebranding

Nexus 7 2016 will be more expensive compared to Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. Although Google has not yet announced any details regarding their new device, reports suggest that Nexus 7 2016 will have two variants, Pixel and Pixel XL.

Pre-orders for Nexus 7 2016 are rumored to begin in the US on the same day the device will be released. There are also speculations that the new Google device will be made available for pre-orders starting Oct. 4, following the day of launch. Nexus 7 2016 features are expected to include a 7-inch screen with an AMOLED Quad display panel. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 comes with a curved-edged display and will be available in two variants: 8-inch and 9.7-inch screens with 4K technology and AMOLED panel.

The Nexus 7 2016 will also have 64GB of internal memory, 4GB RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to sport an octa-core Exynos 8890 processor, an internal storage of 64GB and 32GB and a 4GB RAM, one of the variants is reported to come with a Snapdragon 820 chipset. Nexus 7 2016 will have a 13MP back camera with some advanced functions, while Galaxy Tab S3 will be sporting a 2MP selfie and an 8MP back camera, Yibada reported.

Meanwhile, Oct. 4 is the Google Pixel launch event. According to reports, the event's name coincides with the rumors that the Google Nexus mobile devices are going to have a rebranding and will be named Google Pixel XL and Google Pixel.

While it is unclear if Google tablets will also undergo a rebranding, there are speculations that a 2016 variant will be released simultaneously with the Android phones. Nexus 7's development is also rumored to be handled by Huawei, which will be launched before the end of the year, Ecumenical News reported.
