DICE's Star Wars Battlefront is about to release a new DLC this September: Death Star. For Star Wars fans all over, this will likely grab their attention. After all, who doesn't know the Death Star?

Some tweets from DICE employees themselves confirm some of the upcoming features, such as Hero vs Villain, and upcoming soldier equipment, plus a semi-automatic and fully automatic blaster.

The focus of the DLC itself comes in three phases. The first phase is a space dogfight in X-wings and A-wings versus the TIE Fighters and Interceptors. For the Rebels, once enough of the TIE assets have been destroyed, their Y-Wing support can weaken the defenses. As this happens, other players and AI will be launched to set-up defenses for the Death Star.

The second phase shows us two new playable characters: Chewbacca and Bossk. This time the fight happens within the Death Star itself as the mission has to do with the extraction of a priority droid.

Finally, in the culmination of the DLC, the Rebels will continue on with their mission in space: to destroy the Death Star! Luke in his Red-5 X-wing will meet Darth Vader's TIE Advanced in a space fight many will probably be waiting for.

With how immersive the came can be, one can now visualize just what the new DLC will bring to fans. The game itself has good ambience with it graphics, and now with even more iconic situations to find themselves in, the players can have an even better gaming experience. It should be pretty intense, especially in the final phase of the Battle Station Mode described above. Just how thrilling would it be to blow up the Death Star or, wait for it, stopping its destruction as Darth Vader?

Longtime fans will probably go nuts.

Currently, there is no solid release date for the DLC, however, those who bought the season pass can the this new expansion two weeks ahead of schedule.

In the same vein, the Bespin DLC is also out for free. Players have a week or so to make the most of this offer. Otherwise, they'd have to buy it for $15.

Stayed tuned for more news on this much-awaited DLC!
