Hunter x Hunter fans will have to endure another long wait as the release of Chapter 361 will be delayed indefinitely. According to MobileNApps, this is due to author Yoshihiro Togashi's health problems.

Togashi experiences severe lower back pain due to a birth defect called Spina Bifida. This means there is an incomplete closing of his spine and membranes. Doctors have prescribed complete bed rest.

His severe back pain was also the cause of the previous hiatus before. There are also rumors that due to the pain his wife, manga artist and creator of Sailor Moon Naoko Takeuchi, has been helping out with Hunter x Hunter illustrations and backgrounds.

Due to this, it's said that Viz Media plans to hire another writer for the series. However, according to BreatheCast, Togashi did not like any of the ideas they pitched. Shueisha has now reportedly pushed the release date of Chapter 361 to next year.

Fans were excited when they found out that the series was to continue publishing in April this year. The new chapters did not disappoint, giving readers much to discuss. As such, it must be disappointing that it will be put on hold again after only 11 new chapters.

How have fans reacted to this? According to Rocket News 24, they've been very supportive of the author, as well as resigned. Many have wished him to get better soon, while others say it was unfortunate but kind of expected. It seems that their long experience in waiting has made this new hiatus somewhat easier to accept.

Some fans are now speculating that Chapter 360 may become the last chapter of Hunter x Hunter. However, as of now nothing has been set in stone and confirmed. Who knows? Maybe Togashi-sensei will feel better soon. Hunter x Hunter fans can only hope for the best.
