The Walking Dead Season 7 is set to be aired on October 7, 2016. It seems that Rick's reign on his own group of survivors has come to an end. To his utter dismay, Negan is taking it from him by force. Only this time, it looks like Rick can't do anything about it.

Comic Book reports that fans for "The Walking Dead Season 7" are dying to know who was at the other end of Negan's bat, Lucille, in Season 6 finale. Up to that point it is still unclear as to who got the fatal beating. Fans and viewers alike have come up with more than a handful of possibilities. Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays the role of Negan, the leader of another group of survivors. He uses "Lucille" to bring judgment on those that oppose him.

It's counterpart, Fear The Walking Dead featured teasers on what is to come on how Negan will be handling things on Season 7. So far Carol is off the hook as she was seen on the teaser. However, if the comic version issue #100 is to be followed Glenn was the one who met his death by bat. Tension builds as he is nowhere in sight during the advertisement.

Inquisitr adds that Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead Season 7" might finally be the end of Rick's rule. They have also noted the word "Ricktatorship" which was coined by its host Chris Hardwick. This was the type of leadership used by Rick Grimes utilized to keep his family and the rest of the group alive. All the while it seem that it has worked for them. This is without having to lose a few of them of course.

From "Ricktatorship" it has then evolved into a "Rickpublic" at its fullest measure in Alexandria. As perfect as their lives has become in the safe zone, amidst all the chaos of undead and warring between surviving groups, their greatest challenge is yet to come.

As the finale in Season 6 has unfolded, viewers are somewhat at the edge of their seats. An all out war against Negan's Saviors, the Kingdom and the Hilltop Colony has started and it seems hasn't turned out in their favor so far.

Already losing a team member on their part, they have found themselves in a position of great disadvantage. In order to survive he must turn over Alexandria to Negan's group. From a leader he must become a follower. Or maybe become a co-leader. Again, that remains to be seen.

There is a great possibility that Michonne will take over Rick's role if the latter has to be killed of the series. The character development and arc gives it a snug fit. You can credit AMC and its writers for building up the character of the former over the years.

Her relationship with Rick has gone to a whole new level as they started to settle down in Alexandria. But as you look back all her previous relationships has found them dead at a certain point in the series.

Overall, her character seems to portray a real person where her social skills have amped up to the fullest with other survivors and towards Ricks' son Carl. Most of all the rediscovery of real happiness despite all that she went through.

On another angle, Maggie stronger show character could be a possible replacement for Rick to lead those in Alexandria. The comic version shows her taking over the Kingdom or the Hilltop. That is if she wouldn't change if Glenn dies at any point in the series.

The tension and excitement is starting to build up as Season 7 premiere draws near. Viewers and fans will either be satisfied or disappointed when The Walking Dead shows on October.
