Xiaomi launches Amazfit Smartwatch with Heart Rate Sensor

Xiaomi, Chinese tech giant launched its new smartwatch Amazfit equipped with heart rate sensor on Aug 30, 2016 in China's tech market.

Xiaomi, known for its top end smartphones in Chinese tech market has launched a smartwatch with new innovative features equipped in it. The watch might roar the Chinese market and indeed a big and tough competition for the rivalry companies which are planning to bring smartwatches into the market. A smart watch made by the company is developed in collaboration with partner Huami. The watch will be available in the market on Aug 31, 2016 as per Gadgets NDTV.

According to Phone Radar, the company claims that the Amazfit smart watch is first in the world equipped with 28nm GPS sensor, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS and Wi-Fi. The smart watch is dust proof and water resistant with IPS certifications and comes with a 22nm band that is user replaceable.

The new innovative scratch resistant smart watch Amazfit is made amazingly with a 1.34-inch circular display with a 300x300 pixel resolution. A storage space of 4 Gigabytes, a 1.2 GHz processor and 512 Megabytes of random access memory are involved in this watch. A continuous tracking heart rate sensor on the rear panel makes the watch different from other smart watches.

Huami claims that Amazfit smartwatch can run continuously for 30 hours when the GPS is enabled, but can be setup to serve up to five days as its battery is made of 200mAh. Power saving mode in the watch can add more life up to 11 days as claimed by the company. Xiaomi Amazfit also supports AliPay (Alibaba's mobile payment service).

However, no official statement was released by Xiaomi regarding the launch of the smartwatch.
