The popular crime web television series "Narcos" season 2 will be soon coming to Netflix. The news and speculations on the upcoming instalment are all around and now the latest update is death of another major character Pedro Pascal's slick DEA agent Javier Pena.

Reports began from the death of Wagner Moura's powerful character Pablo Escobar to the probable death of another major character, Pedro Pascal's slick DEA agent Javier Pena. Pascal, best known for his role as Dornish Prince Obery Martell from "Game of Thrones," seems to present a shorter term in the series.

A key scene from the season 2 trailer of "Narcos" that was released back in July indicates darker turns not just for Pablo Escobar but for DEA agent Pena as well. Reportedly  in the last few minutes of the trailer, Pena is held at gunpoint by Colombia's greatest drug lord himself. Pascal's bloody death in "Game of Thrones" can be recalled and it's speculated that Pascal's character Pena may see a similar death in season 2 of "Narcos."

Officially Netflix has showed Escobar on the ground by the end of season 2. There is no secret about the death of the drug kingpin in the second season of their show.

Factually the great Pablo Escobar dies during the war against the Colombian narcos. The historical information says that Escobar dies at the hands of Colonel Hugo Martinez and his men after a shootout with the Search Bloc in Dec. 2, 1993.

The Netflix's "Narcos" presents Martinez by Maurice Compte's character Horacio Carrillo, a soldier who leads his own Search Bloc against the narcos in the series.

"Narcos" season 2 will premiere on Sept. 2 on Netflix.
