Deadpool was released in February this year and two months later, the sequel was confirmed by Fox. It was announced that 'Deadpool 2' would go on floors early next year. Now that four months have passed, fans are eager to know about the updates.

According to reports, the film is moving at a good pace. Producer Simon Kinberg has said that things are progressing and that the team is involved in working out things. He stated that Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are developing the script and it will be ready very soon.

Kinberg expressed hope that they would be shooting the movie sometime at the beginning of the next year. When asked if they would be going back to Vancouver for the shoot, he said that he does not know. He was equally uncertain about the Wolverine movie, the show Legion and Luna Park.

Notably, the plot of 'Deadpool 2' is still under wraps. But it is confirmed that Marvel character Cable would be making an appearance. Director Tim Miller and writer Rhett Reese have also spoken about it. The former said that he likes Cable's history because he is very intertwined with the world of X-Men. According to him, Deadpool needs a straight man and Cable fits the bill perfectly. He is a silent, strong and cynical warrior, which DeadPool is not.

Talking about the traits that they would like the actor, (who gets to play Cable to possess), Reese said that he should have strength, gravitas and purposefulness. As per him, Cable is someone who locks onto something and gets it solved, come what may.

As for Deadpool's character, actor Ryan Reynolds is certainly going to reprise the role in the sequel. As far as Cable's role is concerned, names of several actors like Mel Gibson, Stephan Lang, Jon Hamm, Dolph Lundgren have been proposed, but none are being seriously considered.

It is worth mentioning here that till date, Deadpool has grossed a total of $778, 617, 348 worldwide and thus, it won't be any wonder if the sequel gets a huge opening weekend.
