'The Flash,' Season 3 is all set to premiere in October this year and fans of the superhero are eagerly waiting for some updates, as they have been very few and far between. But good news is here.

According to reports, changes will welcome viewers in season 3 and The Flashpoint Paradox will be altered a lot. There is a big crossover event in the offing but the biggest highlight would be that Barry Allen might no longer be a speedster. And to compensate for it, two new speedsters might be introduced. It is being said that Jesse Quick will step in to fill his shoes.

However actress Violett Beane, who plays Jesse, is skeptical and does not feel sure if she will return with or without superpowers. She said that when Jesse got hit with the particle explosion, she was thinking that her character is also being granted the speedster quality but it did not happen.

However, she is excited to play a speedster and would love it to happen early in the upcoming season. She also expressed hope that with Flashpoint, anything can happen as it is open to different kind of false reality. She said that her character could be Earth-One Jesse or a speedster as anything is possible.

Notably, The Flash got his powers from a particle accelerator explosion in season 1 and since it had hit Jesse and Wally West too, many thought that she and Kid Flash would also transform into speedsters. But it did not happen and now that The Flash is going to lose his powers, CW cannot do without a hero. And thus, it is very likely that they will bring in new speedsters.

As for Barry's love interest, it is speculated that the dynamics of his relationship with Iris West will change. He might end up dating Supergirl through the CW's crossover. But actress Candice Patton (Iris West) feels that the two are meant to be together and feels that his experiences with others will only make their togetherness look more meaningful, when they eventually come together.
