Moto G4 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 vs LeEco 2: Which one should you buy?

The competition in the budget smartphone space in India is getting interesting. Companies are regularly launching new models to compel buyers and gain dominance in the market. Along with an effective, low-cost price tag, these budget smartphones offer great value for money with premium specifications and great features. Motorola has announced that it will start selling its affordable Moto G4 in India on June 22, bringing challenge to the likes of LeEco Le 2, Le 1s Eco, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, YU Yunicorn and others.

Shoppers have a wide range of smartphones to choose from in the sub-Rs. 15,000 price range, so here's a comparison of some of the popular choices against the upcoming Moto G4. The company hasn't revealed the price of the handset yet, but it is expected to cost lower than the Moto G4 Plus, which starts at Rs. 13,499. Here's a comparison of the Moto G4 with Le 2 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 based on their specs.

All three smartphones have a 5.5-inch Full HD display. The Moto G4 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield, while the Redmi Note 3 offers 78-degree viewing angle with Sunlight display tech and a special night mode. In terms of overall display quality, there wouldn't be much difference considering the same size and display.

LeEco Le 2 features a 16-megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing snapper for selfies. Comparatively, the Redmi Note 3 packs a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, dual ISP and HDR and a 5MP front-snapper with 36 smart beauty profiles.

LeEco Le 2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocking speeds at 1.8GHz, 3GB RAM and 32GB eMMC5.1 fixed storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 CPU, which is backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Finally, the Moto G4 uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage up to 128GB.

By comparison, the Le 2 and Redmi Note 3 have better storage and RAM configurations and Le 2 steals the show with its upgraded chipset.Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a bigger 4,050mAh battery, which the company claims, lasts 14 hours with GPS navigation. LeEco Le 2 and Moto G4 smartphones have the same 3,000mAh battery and both of them are equipped with fast charging technology.
