An experienced, but not so dated veteran is soon going to recur in the upcoming season of the American crime based drama, 'Criminal Minds'.

Rendering more enthusiasm and anticipation for the fans, the frontmen of the series have decided to allow a Special Agent to reenter, who will be played by Adam Rodriguez.

The hunky cast list of the most watched investigative series is stretching, especially with the arrival of Adam Rodriguez as a well-off member of the BAU team, his investigative instincts will allow him to be a member of the FBI Fugitive Task Force.

"We're thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Adam Rodriguez to our amazing cast," Erica Messer, Criminal Minds executive producer and showrunner, said in a statement. "We have exciting storylines planned for his character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 12th season."

Moore's unanticipated withdrawal from the series has allowed Rodriguez to be welcomed to the CBS clan. Moore, on the other hand, maintains that he would highly appreciate his return as a guest member, if that is possible in the near future as he is committed with other side projects.

Announced on the 8th of June by CBS, Adam will soon be replacing Shemar Moore and will be ultimately filling in his shoes as a series regular along with other luminaries of the series including Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Mathew Gray Gubler, A. J Cook and Kristen Vangsness.

"We're all big fans of Adam's and are excited to welcome him back to the CBS family as part of the terrific cast of Criminal Minds," Glenn Geller, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement.

Rodriguez has also appeared on other hit programs, which includes CBS based CSI: Miami as Eric Delko. Other TV acclaims include Roswell, Ugly Betty and The Night Shift. On the cinema screen he has been in movies such as Magic Mike XXL, Magic Mike and I Can Do Bad All By Myself.

Criminal minds return this fall on CBS.
