Bobby Brown remains convinced Nick Gordon was responsible for death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina. He also alleged that Gordon failed to protect his wife Whitney Houston.

Speaking to ABC News, Brown said drugs were a problem he and his ex-wife Whitney faced. While denying he introduced his ex-wife to drugs, Brown said he often smoked up with Whitney while their daughter was being looked after by nannies. Regretting not being able to save his daughter, he maintained the couple never did drugs before their daughter.

Whitney Houston was found dead in her bath in 2012. Her daughter Bobbi Kristina too was found unconscious in a similar fashion. After months of battling for life, she died last July. Drug intoxication was noted in both cases.

"It's not a mystery to me. The same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney ... There's only one person that was around both occasions, only one person who says they were there to protect them ... and he didn't," Brown said while referring to Gordon without naming him.

Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, had claimed Bobbi Kristina had a drug problem. He has maintained innocence.

The battle between Gordon and Bobbi Kristina's family is part of a lawsuit alleging Gordon killed Bobbi Kristina. Filed by Bobbi Kristina's legal conservator, the lawsuit alleges Gordon administered a deadly cocktail of drugs before placing her in the bath. It also claims Gordon stole money from Bobbi Kristina when she was fighting for life in hospital.

Gordon has denied all allegations and has asked for the plea to be dismissed.
