The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 in Los Angeles is just around the corner and Pokémon fans are already up and excited for the details on 'Pokémon Go' release and other gameplay details. Swirling rumors that are recently making rounds online suggest a slew of changes as revealed in beta testing including new evolution and training mechanics.

Recent tweaks to the Pokémon evolution process include the replacement of evolution shards by candies. As revealed in a recent update on Reddit, the candies used for facilitating the process are created according to the unique requirements of each Pokémon evolution family. What this means for the players is that they would need to search for the right specific candies for such purpose.

These candies can be obtained either from a caught or hatched Pokémon. Also, by catching and hatching a Pokémon, players acquire an item called 'Stardust' useful for powering up a Pokémon.

To further heighten the interest over augmented reality game, leaked information from Neurogadget also indicates that new mechanics will make captures sensitive to time, place, and nature of the Pokemons. For example, 'ghost' type Pokémon called Ghastly can only be sought and captured at night in graveyards and creepy locations that are known to be frequently inhabited by unlikely creatures.

Here is a summary of other key tweaks and game add-ons according to Game N Guide:

1. A vibration alert on the smartphone will notify players of a Pokémon close by. To capture the wild Pokémon, players need to launch a Poke ball on the touch screen and try to catch them in.

2. Players can customize their avatar in game. For Gym battles, the player would have to join a team and fight other trainers in a bid to take control over a gym.

3. The more time a player spends in playing Pokémon Go, the higher his/her trainer level becomes which extremely useful when trying to catch powerful Pokemons that often resist capture.

So far, Niantic Lab has not rolled out an official release date for the mobile AR game although most observers believe that it will launched late this year. As of this time, beta testing is still ongoing in in the US, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Once all beta feedbacks gets ironed out and reviewed, the world will be inching closer to its release. All other questions that fans may have may be divulged in the E3 event through June 14 to 16.
