The crime drama "Better Call Saul" created by by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould is at its spin-off prequel of Breaking Bad.

The show of a small-time lawyer James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill (Bob Odenkirk) is currently off the air following its shocking season 2 finale twist. AMC is yet to announce the exact date as to when the show returns to the small screen, but new details emerged as of late giving hints as to what could be expected in the upcoming season 3.

The new installment might go beyond the BB storyline, as inferred from the statement made by series creator Peter Gould who recently appeared at the BCS panel at the Vulture Festival, according to a report from Christian Times.

What would be Season 3 storyline is a big question to all the fans of "Better Call Saul"

"I don't think anything is predetermined. Even with 'Breaking Bad' we had a story that was set up from the beginning: Mr. Chips turns into Scarface. This show we have Jimmy McGill becomes Saul Goodman, which in some ways seems not as extreme of a journey, a different kind of journey," Gould, who also serves as executive producer of the show, replied when asked if season 3 will stick to the storyline established in the 2008 hit series.

TWell, it indicates that BCS will carve its own path. In fact, a report from Master Herald  said that the next chapters of the show could actually be a "mix of the past and the future," meaning fans might get to see Odenkirk's character, Jimmy McGill, after the tragic events of "Breaking Bad" season 6 finale where he assumes the identity of a certain Saul Goodman, a criminal lawyer.

It is also believed that Bryan Cranston's infamous Walter White/Heisenberg might have actually survived that night with the neo-Nazi gang and it will be Saul who will stand beside him during his trial.

Well, let's wait until there is an official announcement regarding the show and story line.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to premiere in February, 2017.
