Previously, it was speculated that "Iron Man" series is over with the third installment being the last one. It was reported earlier that to reprise his role in "Iron Man 4," Robert Downey Jr has asked for a pay hike which is causing the delay in the movie. However, there are also reports that the actor later demanded that instead of pay hike, he should be paid percentage of the sales since it is expected to do good business at the box office.

But if the recent interview is any indication, Robert Downey Jr. is willing to do another one of the "Iron Man" film. "I feel like I could do one more," Robert Downey Jr. said, suggesting that it is possible that the fourth installment may come out in the future.

While it is not known for sure if the film is in development already, but it certainly has made some progress. From the looks of it, Downey Jr is resolute about doing the next movie. As per Shane Black, director of "Iron Man 3," Robert Downey Jr has already made up his mind about "Iron Man 4." "I think he wants Mel Gibson to direct it. And for good reason. Mel was great to him," Black said. "Mel's been really nice to a lot of people, including me."

In a recent article, it was also noted that Tony Stark may have to battle more than one villain in "Iron Man 4." Rumor has it that Tony Stark, billionaire, playboy and a philanthropist, will be pitted against Spider Man and Fin Fang Foom.
