WWE's Irish super star Sheamus hardly ever gives interviews but the recent development in the company which would see a band split between the two flagship shows of the WWE- RAW and Smachdown- has made him weigh in on the topic recently. However, it seems Sheamus is quite excited with the brand split since it will allow him to carve his own identify yet again and consdiering the fact that he started off in Smackdown, it is understandable that he is excited about the whole project.

In a recent promotional event he spoke to Zap2it and shared his thoughts on the recent development, "I think it's great. I think the brand split is good. When I came into WWE in 2009, I had a huge opportunity and got a huge push. It was fantastic." He further added, "I think it's great. I think the brand split is good. When I came into WWE in 2009, I had a huge opportunity and got a huge push. It was fantastic. Myself and Daniel Bryan made it because of Smackdown. We were doing two-minute segments on 'Raw' before we moved over to the blue brand. To me, Smackdown is much more the wrestling style show."

Sheamus feels that an entirely exclusive roster for Smackdown would also give an opportunity to new talents to burst through and in the long run that is something that the company and the WWE fans would certainly welcome. "The great thing about Smackdown was, when things were separated last time, a lot of guys were able to breakout. We've got great characters and such a vast pool of talent that hasn't really gotten the chance to shine yet." He is however even more excited about the fact that Smackdown would be telecast live from the 19th of July this year. He said, "You can't beat live TV," and that is something that almost each and every fan of Smackdown would agree with.
