Apple has seen its stock plunge after the latest round of results and one of the most significant findings from the results is that one of the most important products of the company, the IPhone has recorded declining sales figure that must have resulted in tense board meetings among the management and the sales teams. However, a recent development has come to light which means that the company is in no doubt about the value of one of their most valuable products. In fact, they believe that they would be able to ramp up sales to a great extent when the IPhone 7 hits the stores at some point in 2016 and the company has projected to produce a staggering 78 million IPhone 7 smarthphones that will be sold globally.

The news has been reported in the publcation Taiwan Daily News and is certainly an indication of the fact that the company has already charted a way in which it is going to boost its revenues this year. Apple is known to produce a new version of the IPhone every year and like previous years, they are scheduled to launch the IPhone 7 and the IPhone 7 plus later this year. The phones should go on sale at some point in September. Pegatron and Foxconn, two of Apple's biggest suppliers have also gone on a hiring spree in Taiwan in order to make sure that those extra orders are produced on time.

An analyst at Jackdaw Research weighed in on the topic, "The biggest challenge for Apple with the iPhone right now is the sheer unpredictability of demand, as we've recently entered an unprecedented period of year-on-year declines in sales. There are so many uncertainties right now in forecasting iPhone demand, driven by the global smartphone slowdown, the lengthening upgrade cycles and other factors. The worst thing that could happen is falling significantly short in meeting demand, so I'd expect Apple to err on the side of oversupply rather than undersupply"
