Recent updates from gaming land indicate that 2K Sports will roll out the upcoming sequel to the WWE video game series, the WWE 2k17, sometime in October this year.

The preceding title, WWE 2K16, is over a year old now and seemed to have been doing pretty well in the market garnering mixed to positive reviews from game review sites like the Metacritic. However, reports suggest that developers will be working on remedying the lapses observed and collaborate more closely with the market to bring out a better iteration in its next release.

In fact, 2K Sports has already started cherry picking ideas from fans who are enthusiastically sharing their thoughts in the game studio's official community forum. The developers hope that this collaboration between the game creators and aficionados would lead to a better sports simulated gaming experience.

"WWE 2K16 contained the largest roster in the history of WWE games, and while our designers worked hard to make each Superstar's move-set feel unique and apt, we know there are some of you who feel like the game's move-sets could still be improved...we believe we can collaborate effectively in creating the most authentic move-sets ever for future WWE 2K games, the post reads as quoted directly from 2K Forums.

The suggestions will then be subjected to scrutiny by other community members in a points system through downloading and voting. Contributors only have until June 30 to submit their pitches before 2K Sports stop checking all the submitted entries.

Meanwhile, now that the October release has been confirmed as per WWE2K17News, details of the forthcoming sequel is due to discussed in GameCom 2016 accompanied by trailers and screenshots. An official introduction usually precedes the game's public debut. The roster and the featured cover will all then follow afterward.

In another related development, the roster for the next WWE iteration will reportedly include the late WWE star Chyna and Brie Bella who has recently retired from pro wrestling. As per SmackDown Hotel report, Brie Bella was recently spotted at 2K Games studios to have her body and facial features scanned for the game alongside Bray Wyatt.

Also, Bella may not be the only ex-female pro wrestler rumored to be added to the roster. Chyna, who died last April, may also be included in the game as a fitting tribute to her contribution to WWE according to Christian Today news brief.

WWE 2k17 is slated for PS4 and Xbox One this October once the game is completed on time.
