WWE NXT star Shinsuke Nakamura is a big name in Japanese pro wrestling market and for the first time since his departure from NJPW last February, he is gearing up for his return to his native homeland as part of the WWE two-night Tokyo tour on July 1 and 2. He is booked for a middle-of-the-card brawl against Bray Wyatt.

According to Top Rope Press, the Japanese fans seem disappointed about the forthcoming event's lineup. Aside from the fact that Nakamura won't be part of the show's main card event, triple thread matches don't sit well with the Japanese audience with some saying that the WWE "is booking the shows for themselves" not the for their fans.

Nakamura is also being slated for match-up with John Cena at a June 29th big WWE live event which is due to take place in Honolulu, Hawaii which will reportedly include Brock Lesnar as per Wrestle Zone update.

In another WWE update, John Cena has been conspicuously absent from WWE following a long-overdue surgery of his injured shoulder back in November last year. But as Vince McMahon previously stated, June will be a month of big comebacks with three other superstars slated to return to the ring, namely, Randy Orton, Wyatt, and Seth Rollins. Also, Cena already tweeted his fans about his TV return on May 30. As of now, he is still in his rehabilitation stage albeit 30% off full recovery.

"I'm probably 30% off of what I was operating at November 2015 ... but being at 70% is still pretty damn good," Cena said as quoted in a report by Uproxx.

Meanwhile, the 15-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and record-setting Make-A-Wish granter will also host the 2016 ESPYS which will be featured live on ABC at 8pm (Eastern Time) Wednesday. The event is an annual event to raise funds for The V Foundation, the cancer research initiative organized by ESPN and the late basketball coach Jim Valvano.

"It is truly an honor to be named host of The 2016 ESPYS," said Cena as quoted by Miami Herald. "Not only will the biggest names in sports and entertainment come together to recognize some of the most spectacular athletic performances of the year, but we'll also raise funds for The V Foundation to further much-needed cancer research."
