The WWE is often regarded as an organisation that disposes off wrestlers, show hosts and announcers at a fast clip and over the past month, the company has been involved in a similar cull in which plenty of wrestlers and other personnel have been released from their contracts that has given rise to plenty of heartburn among the hardcore fans. The latest to find himself in the chopping block is the popular WWE NXT announcer Alex Reyes, who has not been with the company for long and considering the fact that it was only in October last year that he was given a full time professional announcer's contract, it comes as a big surprise that he has been let go without even completing a year at the organisation that he had dreamt to work for.

However, in this regard, it is important to point out that the company has been quite ruthless with the layoffs that it has handed out over the past few weeks and it seems that it is determined to bring about big changes within the company, both in the ring and also at the broadcasting level. Kyle Edwards as well as his colleague Rich Brennan were two other members of the WWE broadcasting team that have been released from their contracts and later on it was Alex Reyes who was released from his contract, which means that the company is looking at a massive overhaul of the boradcasting team.

WWE NXT is a hugely popular show that showcases the up and coming talents in the business and Alex Reyes had quickly established himself as a key member of the crew as he was not only the announcer but also helped in the production process. However, this should not come as a surprise for fans since over the past few weeks some big names like Wade Barrett, Sanitno Marella, Alex Riley, Damien Shadow and El Torio among others have been shown the door by the company. The company is being ruthless with their target of rebuilding the roster and it seems they are going to do the same with the production team.
