AMC has been very strict about leaks and scoops ever since the filming began for the seventh season of 'The Walking Dead' but looks like they could not prevent spoilers.

According to reports from the sets, smoke was seen coming out of Alexandria and if the comic book storyline is taken into account, it could be because Negan attacked the place. In the book, Rick tricks the Lucille-wielding villain into believing that the group is obedient. But he has other plans in mind.

One fine day, Negan comes to the place without any announcement. The day before, Rick and Ezekiel spent the whole night charting out plans for a battle. Upon knowing of his arrival, Rick tries to kill him. But Negan's men are hiding and thus, all hell breaks loose. A war takes place and Negan orders his men to throw grenades, which result in Alexandria going up in flames.

If the filming of the seventh season is being done in accordance with the comic book storyline then it is very likely that Negan's attack was being shot. However, nothing can be said with surety as the creators have diverged from the book in the past and can do so in future as well.

The scoops from sets also report the sighting of RV and fans are speculating that it must be there to send back Rick's group to Alexandria after Negan's assault. Well, this is also the storyline of the comic book, but then again, there is always room for speculation.

It may be mentioned here that creator Robert Kirkman had recently said in the comic book via a letter that season 7 is going to be full of surprises and that viewers should be ready to get afraid. The main characters will go through intense personal journeys and there will be lots of different stories.

'The Walking Dead' has begun filming from May 2 and the seventh season will begin to air from October this year.
