Pity these two men who tried to attack a woman and tried to steal her car Saturday night. They were assaulted and shoved away by a woman and are on the run as the police hunt them down.

They seemed to get the rough end of Jasmine Warren at a gas station in Atlanta. Video surveillance shows that Warren first gave money to a homeless person, and then, when she turned around, a couple of men rushed at her with guns.

They young men began to hit her on her face, which aroused her "fight-or-flight instincts."

"When I looked into that little boy's eyes, I could see fear just as much as I was scared," Warren said.

When she fought back, it made the men recoil, she recollects. "It was kind of shocking to them, like, oh my god this girl's fighting me back. Why?"

When the young men tried to jump into her car and drive off, she opened the door, reached for her gun near the driver's seat and then for her keys.

"I yank the keys down. Key breaks in the ignition. The car was no longer accessible for them to move," Warren said

"She struggles with all her might," Atlanta police Sgt. Warren Pickard told WGCL-TV. "She's able to get some of her items back. They get in her vehicle. She snatches them from the car. They get in the car again."

They had not thought that they would be able to get away with it, but finally, they gave up on the car and took her cell phone instead. Finally, they just ran, she said.

"I don't recommend what she did," Pickard added. "But she was brave, and she spoiled a robbery on her person."

Warren told ABC News, "I'll say my life was spared 'cause I could have been shot. You never know."

She continued: "I think that me giving money to that homeless guy was a part of that, too. I think that kind of helped me out."

The Atlanta police could not find the young men anywhere, but are searching for some clue with the help of the video shot.
