Pokemon GO Updates: Details Of GO Plus Emerge, Fans Speculate Release In Three Weeks

With a new update, Pokemon GO has lifted the cloud of uncertainty shrouding Pokemon GO Plus wearable. The wearable was announced last September along with the game but little information was released about in the last six months.

Testers on the Reddit community Sliph Road sifted through the APK code to find clues of the device. They have established the device uses Bluetooth Low Energy to pair with the gaming phone in order to save battery life. Some information about the device's functioning has also been obtained.

For now, the revelation of notification types including 'reached Pokestop', 'spawned Pokemon' which can be encountered, 'spawned uncaught Pokemon' at which gamers can throw a pokeball to capture the Pokemon. GO Plus also provides notifications when the Pokeball is broken and caught.

Another interesting observation is the discovery of hack sequences, the use of which remains unclear for now. "It is possible that there will be a sequence you click the sole button on the device in to perform different actions," the Sliph Road post reads.

In other Pokemon GO related news, gamers believe more evidence for an impending release has surfaced. Fans believe lag optimizations and bug fixes are indication the game is close to its release. Some fans have speculated that it could be launched in about three weeks. That has however not convinced everybody.

"This game definitely isn't finished yet. It doesn't have half the features ingress has, not to mention other stuff is definitely not finished and has changes and improvements to come," wrote one Reddit user. "I think they are just trying to work in stages then bug fix as they go and once it's all smooth they add more," the used added.

Niantic has not announced an official launch date for Pokemon GO but a summer launch is highly likely.
