Dwelling in the age of spoiler paranoia, we often accompany ourselves with updates and news that are rendered as a bit of a loose cannon. And this time, bidding farewell to Anthony DiNozzo of the in-demand police investigative series will definitely be a bitter pill to swallow.

With only two episodes left on the track, Michael Weatherly, who portrays himself as a heroic and a shrewd Special Agent DiNozzo will be seen no more as part of the NCIS team. The frontmen have decided to put an end to the character in a bizarre way which will be revealed on the 17th of May.

The previous episodes focused on the NCIS team along with other investigative agencies, the FBI and MI6 are on edge to find a British spy who has left one of their colleagues under hospice care.

Titled as "Dead Letter", the episode will allow Sarah Clarke's first appearance as FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe and Duane Henry's will portray himself as MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves. Both of them will be seen collaborating with the "NCIS" team members.

Other than that, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) will also be a part of the series. As per Movies News Guide, "there will be Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll), Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and Dr. Donald Mallard (David McCallum) also making an appearance in "NCIS" Season 13 Episode 21".

And even though fans are anticipating the untimely withdrawal of Weatherly, there is another interesting element that will come as a surprise to many of the viewers. While Cote de Pablo, who plays Ziva David previously maintained that she won't be returning to the show to assist Weatherly's exit, but she has come up with a twist and she might soon be a part of the team, all over again.

Episode 23, "Dead Letter" will air on May 10 on CBS at 8 p.m.
