After rumors and several leaks about a new phone for the "G" sequel, it seems like Moto have something planned for Moto's "X" sequel as well. Motorola is now owned by Lenovo if you didn't know yet. They have so far brought out three smartphones since August with the Moto G (3rd-gen), Moto X Play and Moto X Pure / Style.

The company is hugely expected to introduce their successors in August this year but according to latest reports, the dates for the launch might as well be way sooner than that with at least one phone to be out in the markets as soon as possible. Motorola has already scheduled an event in India on May 17th, and the reports claim the company might unveil the rumored Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones at that event. It is unlikely we'll see the Moto X introduced at that event.
The Moto X4 and also, the new DROID renders have surfaced online recently and going by those images along with the Moto G4 / G4 Plus leaks there might be a major redesign on its way for this year from Moto. It seems likely now that the company will include a physical home button below the display non-physical 'touchpad' fingerprint scanner very similar to the Nexus 6p. A new image surfaced and by this time round the following month we might as well for real have a sneak-peek of Motorola's upcoming flagship.

The X Series are the "flagships" from Moto every year. The Motorola branding is included below the camera, and the dimple which was included in previous models is now all but gone which will induce a lot of disappointments among many Motorola fans. Judging by this image, the Moto X4 will sport three physical keys on its right-hand side, and we're guessing those are the power / lock key and volume rocker keys, though they're interestingly placed. Judging by the placement of the physical keys, we guess this phone won't be that big, it will probably sport a 5-inch or 5.2-inch display.
