Jeff Hornacek is becoming a hot commodity again. Reports churning out from NBA rumor mill suggest that Houston Rockets is eyeing to have him take up the reins of coaching leadership. He used to coach the Phoenix Suns for three seasons until he was fired after completing 49 games in the 2015-16 regular season.

As far as head coaching job offer is concerned, the Houston Rockets are interviewing the former Suns coach. Latest NBA roundup from ESPN suggests that there is a good chance that Hornacek may fill in Kevin McHale's vacated role.

McHale was booted out from his position after Houston's top brass felt that he lost the locker room command leaving assistant coach JB Bickerstaff to replace him as interim head coach. Bickerstaff did manage to lead the team to the playoffs but the position remained open for other prospective candidates.

If Hornacek wins the coaching job, he has a set of challenges looming ahead of him. One of the biggest concerns for any Rockets coach is how to build an effective James Harden-centric offensive system capable of turning the team into a serious title contender. This would require any coach to convince Harden to pass the ball more to his teammates to secure victories on the court as per Inquisitr report.

Meanwhile, interim head coach JB Bickerstaff has confirmed dropping out from Houston's list of prospects following a meeting with the franchise's top management last Monday.

After losing badly to Golden State Warriors in the first round playoffs without MVP title holder Stephen Curry, Houston are trying to find ways to solve the team's deepening internal conflict that get in the way off winning.

According to Sports Rageous, disputes involving Dwight Howard and James Harden are increasingly getting more toxic as both star players want to be team's main focus. Furthermore, Bickerstaff can't seem to mend the 'broken' team so he'd rather look elsewhere in the league to land a job. He added that he would rather take an assistant coaching job than to fix Houston next season.
