Seems like Xiaomi also want to have a taste of the smart watch user base. Xiaomi are all set to enter the Smartwatch segment. It seems like the Chinese smart phone manufacturer will be announcing about the launch officially in the second half of the year of 2016.

Co-founder and current Vice President Liu De confirmed that there were some plans about the smartwatch during a media interaction back in Beijing. He however did not reveal any additional details about the smartwatch. It will be supposedly running on Google's android operating system and it will obviously be supporting Android wear.

Xiaomi have already set foot in the wearable's segment with announcing their first Mi Band, a budget friendly smart-band which will cost around 15$. However, with limited facilities and restrictions, it didn't really see much of its success as predicted considering about the price point. There are also reports that the firm is also concentrating on launching their new successor to their fitness "Mi band" at a launch in China on May 10. The company's CEO also recently teased its wearable during a conference which has now been leaked online.

However, Xiaomi have fallen out of the top five smartphone manufacturer market. Following Xiaomi, Lenovo have also reportedly joined the Chinese firm falling out of the top five. The latest figures are now worrying concern for both the Chinese giants since the global smartphone market is showing saturated signs at different markets. This is definitely a threating concern due to the fact that Xiaomi have always concentrated on providing high quality hardware at a low price point. In spite of it, a fall in the market charts might be a positive sign for users after all due to their garbage invite system and flash sales.
