According to recent rumors, Merit Leighton of "A Tiger's Tail" fame will star in the fourth installment of "High School Musical," replacing Vanessa Hudgens. However, it is yet to be confirmed if the actress will be onboard the upcoming movie. Meanwhile, Disney has confirmed the name of three female leads, Erin who is school soccer team member, Nathalie is Erin's best friend and belongs to the cheering squad and the Tamara who is speculated to be the antagonist in the film.

Reports indicate that the Tamara will play the fallen Queen Bee. She is also the cousin of Sharpay Evans and Ryan Evans and will be introduced in the forthcoming film.

Now that Merit Leighton is rumored to take the place of Vanessa Hudgens, it is reported that the the possibility of latter being in the "High School Musical 4" is very low. However, now that Zac Efron and his girlfriend, Sam Miro, have recently split, it is highly possible for the two to reunite for the movie.

Kenny Ortega, Disney Director, just recently posted a throwback photo of the old "High School Musical" on his Instagram account. The post fueled the rumors that Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Gabreel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman will reunite for the movie.

Zac Efron was missing from the movie's 10th anniversary as he was busy promoting his other film. However, now that the next installment of "High School Musical" is confirmed, fans are expecting to see an entire cast of the movie together.
