News reports indicate that there is another delay anticipated in "Kingdom Hearts 3." It says, the title might be deferred on to next year, that is 2017. Since Square Enix is busy preparing for the release of "Final Fantasy 15," that is scheduled to release this year, "KH3" will be pushed back. For now, it looks like "Final Fantasy 15" is the developer's priority and do not want the fans to feel divided between two anticipated titles. If "KH3" comes out alongside "Final Fantasy 15," gamers might feel torn between the two options.

Bandai Namco also used similar strategy in their "Tekken" and "Street Fighter" crossover game. Report said that the team decided to pause the game development because "Street Fighter V" was recently released by Capcom.

"When we develop fighting games, we try to keep the core community in mind as well as the wider audience that wants to play these games," "Tekken 7" producer Katsuhiro Harada told GameSpot. "We don't want to split these communities, so a good window in which to release Tekken x Street Fighter is something that's become difficult recently. So it's on hold for the moment."

Looks like Square Enix is also following the same approach. If they release "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 15" at the same time, they will cause confusion amongst the fans.

There is a lot in the works for the upcoming title. If the game is delayed until 2017, perhaps there is something better lined up for the fans. It would be safe to assume that the game will release in the first quarter of 2017.
