After weeks of speculation, it has been finally confirmed that Kerry Washington is pregnant. The actress is expecting her second baby with husband Nnamdi Asomugha and the couple already has a 2-year-old daughter, Isabelle.

After her appearance at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner in Washington, anyone could tell that the actress was pregnant. Though she was not flaunting her baby bump, her efforts at trying to conceal the same were not difficult to notice either.

According to reports, the news of her pregnancy has been confirmed. So, it brings us to the next question. What will happen to season six of Scandal? How will Kerry's pregnancy impact its shooting? And here we have another set of speculations doing the rounds of the gossip mills.

It is worth mentioning here, that this is not the first time when Kerry is expecting while being a part of the show. She reported her first pregnancy during the shooting of season 3 and to accommodate this development, she was not shown on screen much of the time. And when she was, her baby bump was covered with oversized purses, blankets and chairs. Also, the season's episodes were reduced to 18.

However, this time the schedule is at a different stage. The ABC show is on a hiatus right now and the shooting for the sixth season is yet to begin. The producers are now doing the calculations to make space for Kerry's second pregnancy.

It is being said that they might delay the sixth season premiere until mid-season or they could cut down the season's episodes like they did in the past. But the second option is a little difficult to implement as Kerry's delivery timing might not match the shooting schedule. As of now, there is no news about when she is due but it is likely to be around the time when the shooting will be in full swing.

Well, ABC is yet to announce the shooting schedule. Once the announcement is done, it will throw more light to the whole situation.
