It turned out to be a very special birthday for Kourtney Kardashian's eldest son Mason, as he got the best gift ever - a little brother!

"The family is freaking out with joy," a source told E! News. "What an amazing coincidence."

The reality TV star gave birth to her third child with boyfriend Scott Disick, Dec. 14.

Apart from five-year-old big brother Mason, the newborn joins two-year-old sister Penelope Scotland.

Kourtney and Scott have been in an on-again, off-again relationship since 2006. The 35-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star revealed she was expecting her third child in June 2014.

Initially, Scott was visibly angry on learning about the news; but changed his attitude over time.

In last week's episode of "Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons", she said that she was going to have a son, People reports. Scott, in the same episode, said that he was "excited" to hear that he was going to have another son. "It's going to be perfect for our family," Kourtney had said.

Pregnant Kourtney posed nude for DuJour magazine and also flaunted her physique on the December-january cover for FitPregnancy.

"I take two months off and no one is allowed to bother me or talk to me about anything work-related," she told the magazine about her maternity leave. "Or maybe three months this time."

The eldest Kardashian sister said that even though she loves being pregnant, she was comparatively more tired this time. "I love being pregnant in general. This time I'm more tired than I was the other times.

"I think it's because I'm always running around and working on different things. But I feel comfortable with how I look and feel. I find a pregnant body to be beautiful and an incredible reminder of what a woman's body is made to do.
