Leicester City are the English Premier League champions for the 2015-16 after their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 versus last year's champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight. Claudio Ranieri's side have completed perhaps the most remarkable league title triumph in many years by winning the league title over far wealthier teams in the league and football fans from all across the world are cheering for the underdogs, who turned every cliche on its head to snatch the Premier League title with two games still to go. This has well and truly been one of the most exciting seasons in the Premier League in recent years with all the big boys faltering and Leicester CIty's triumph has certainly been the most remarkable story across all leagues in Europe.

Last year Leicester City were on the brink of relegation but somehow survived by staging a late rally but during the summer, their much loved and popular manager Nigel Pearson was fired by the board which sent the club into turmoil. The club appointed Claudio Ranieri as their new manager and after being unsuccessful in winning the league in his native Italy or previously in England with Chelsea, it was put down as an uninspiring and unambitious appointment. In fact, the bookmakers had rated them as 5000-1 (win $5000 for a $1 bet) outsiders to twin the league. However, the players, the manager and the team as a whole has proven every calculation wrong as the cheaply assembled team of misfits, rejects, unheralded talents and gifted youngsters staged one of the most impressive Premier Legue campaign in recent years. The cloub lost only 3 league games throughout the season and played a brand of counter attacking football that put the best clubs in the league to the sword.

Right after the final whistle was blown in the Chelsea-Tottenham game, delirious celebrations broke out all over the city of Leicester as fans came out from pubs and their homes in order to celebrate with their own. This is the sort of night that Leicester or for that matter, whole of Europe has not witness for a while when it comes to achievements in football.
