Manchester United's plan to completely shake up their first team squad could well bring about the biggest overhaul that the team has ever undergone and with money to burn, they are prepared to pay top dollar for some of the biggest names in Europe and beyond. Even though the season has not finished yet, the hierarchy at the club has already drawn up a list of some of the players that they would be targetting and according to reports published in the British tabloid The Sun, the club are weighing up a massive £65 million deal for Atletico Madrid's French forward Antoine Griezmann.

The forward has one of the best players in the La Liga this season and is being scouted by not only Manchester United but also the likes of Paris Saint Germain and German giants Bayern Munich. However, Manchester United are absolutely determined to bring in a new striker following the decline of their long serving star striker Wayne Rooney and they think that Greizmann fits the bill perfectly, considering his exploits for Atletico this season. United's scouting team has been in attendance at many of the games in which the Frenchman has played this season and the club are satisfied with what they saw.

Throughout the duration of the 2015-16 season the club has struggled for goals and has even gone on to record their worst goal scoring record for a quarter of a century. Needless to say, the people higher up in the club have been alarmed at the poor performances and are now going to use the club's considerable financial clout to bring about a revolution at Old Trafford. However, it is important to point out that Atletico are currently fighting for the La Liga title and are in contention for a berth in the UEFA Champions League final this season but United might not be able to offer him the lure of Champions League football. Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang of Borussia Dortmund is the club's target in case they fail to bring Griezmann to Old Trafford.
